Blog resurrected, coffee stains intact.

By

Well, here I am again—like a boomerang, but less graceful and more like a caffeinated stumble after slipping on the sock that I thought I had lost 3 months ago (but how do I break the news to said sock that I threw away it’s twin because it decided to do a Houdini). So yeah I am back on the blog after… let’s just say a “brief” hiatus. And by brief, I mean long enough for the internet to probably forget it exists, which honestly that’s fine, it’s whatever, we’ll see if anyone even notices.

I took a break because I got sucked into the black hole of numbers. views, likes, follows—oh, the sweet illusion that they actually matter. Spoiler alert: they don’t. Somewhere along the way, I lost sight of why I started writing in the first place: to share my messy, sarcastic self with the world. You know, the self that looses items in the fridge, forgets to empty the washing machine (every time), and somehow manages to spill one sip of coffee on herself per day. The real me, imperfect and unapologetic.

During the break, I got a new prescription for anxiety—yes, adulting includes pharmaceuticals now and I am filled with the urge to start creating again. I have had to learn the hard way that chasing perfection is a trap. Which I fell into it, hard, thinking I had to be witty, polished, relatable, viral—basically a human version of a perfectly curated Pinterest board. Newsflash: no one wants that. Not even me. Instead chasing a dream of writing is going to messy and hard work but I learned I got to do it on my terms because I love it and I don’t want it to turn into a toxic relationship (because I have had plenty of those and I don’t need to add another one to the list).

So now I’m back. On my terms, my schedule and most importantly no pressure. I’ll write when it feels right, not when analytics say I should. I’ll finish my book because why the hell not? Maybe I’ll self-publish. Maybe I’ll just laugh at the chaos of it all.

Expect sarcasm, spills, messes, and maybe even some emotions that aren’t neatly edited. I’m embracing imperfection—washing machine sins, coffee stains, and all. And if you’re here for it? Welcome back. If you’re new? Buckle up and bring some snacks as it’s going to be messy.

Now if you excuse me I’m about to go and have a hard conversation with a sock about its twin, wish me luck!
